Landing Platform vs Dotdigital: email and SMS plus the CRM
Dotdigital is a UK cross-channel marketing platform, billed on your marketable contacts and sold by quote. Landing, also built in the UK, sends email and SMS from flows on the same record as your CRM, orders, support and project work.

Landing suits you if
- You want email and SMS on the same record as sales and support
- You want a published price that falls per contact as you grow
- You want UK GDPR handled in the product, consent kept word for word
Where the data splits.
Dotdigital is strong on email and SMS. The rest of the customer is elsewhere.
Billed on marketable contacts
You are billed on the highest number of marketable contacts in the period, and list-level suppressions still count.
A quote, not a price
There is no public price list. You get a figure after a conversation with sales.
The CRM is another tool
Deals, support and delivery live in other systems you connect, so marketing sees only part of the customer.

What it costs, side by side.
Dotdigital bills on your peak marketable contacts, priced by quote. Landing publishes its seats and a contact rate that falls as your list grows.

Dotdigital, as it lists it

And still to buy separately: a CRM, a helpdesk, projects and invoicing.
a month on Landing, billed yearly, ex VAT
Includes email and SMS flows, segments on the whole record, consent receipts, forms and pages, CRM and deals, checkout, a helpdesk, attribution, session replay and projects.
Work out your own priceExample team: three people who run email, SMS and content every day, six who answer customers, follow up and approve. Credits for AI and SMS come from a shared pool each Builder adds to.
Switching is our job, not yours.
We move you over one tool a month, against success criteria we agree with you up front. You don't pay until we prove each one is ready.
We map your stack
Show us your Dotdigital setup and the tools around it. We agree what moves where, and what "ready" means for each tool, before you commit to anything.
We move Dotdigital across
We bring your contacts across with consent and suppressions intact, rebuild your programs as flows and warm your sending domain. We check deliverability and every flow before you switch off.
You sign it off
Billing starts only when we have shown it works against the criteria you set. Then we move the next tool, one a month.
But we already use Dotdigital.
Fair. Here are the questions teams ask us most when they're weighing it up.
We chose Dotdigital because it is British. Is Landing?
Yes. Landing is built in the UK by a UK company, with UK GDPR handled in the product: consent kept word for word, one-click unsubscribe, a company-wide suppression list and a published list of sub-processors.
Can we keep selling through Shopify?
Yes. Your Shopify catalogue syncs into Landing, so flows and segments can use products and orders. Or sell through Landing's own checkout, with subscriptions and a shopper portal.
How are contacts counted on Landing?
You pay for marketing contacts, the people you email or text. The first 2,500 are free, each band after that costs less per contact, and sending is unlimited within fair use.
What does a flow gain from the CRM being built in?
It can see deals and tickets without a sync. Hold a promotion while a complaint is open, skip someone in a live deal, or open a deal and ring your team the moment a form is filled.
Planning the next quarter of sends?
