Compare / Emarsys
Landing Platform vs Emarsys: omnichannel, no SAP contract
Emarsys, now sold by SAP as SAP Engagement Cloud, is built for large retail marketing teams and priced by quote. Landing gives you email, SMS, segments, forms, pages, site search and checkout on the same customer record as sales, support and delivery, with a price list on the website.

Landing suits you if
- You want omnichannel marketing without a custom quote and a long sales cycle
- You want marketing to see orders, tickets and deals, not a synced copy of them
- You'd rather start on finished products than a lengthy implementation project
Where the enterprise stack gets heavy.
Emarsys does a lot. The cost is in everything around it.
A price you have to ask for
There is no public price list. You request pricing and wait for a package built around your contact volume and channels.
Data that has to travel
Your helpdesk, CRM and project tools still live elsewhere, so marketing works from whatever the integrations carried across last night.
A project before a campaign
An enterprise platform brings an enterprise rollout: connectors, data feeds and a partner to wire it all together before the first send.
Landing Platform vs Emarsys, line by line.
Landing covers the channels a retail marketing team runs every day, and adds the business around them.

What it costs, side by side.
Emarsys is sold as a custom package: a base data and email package, plus channels, sized to your contacts. Landing publishes its price and charges full rate only for the people who build in it every day.

Emarsys, as it lists it
How Emarsys is sold, as its own site describes it.
And still to buy separately: a CRM, a helpdesk, checkout, projects and invoicing.
a month on Landing, billed yearly, ex VAT
Includes email, SMS, segments, forms, pages, attribution, site search, A/B testing, several brands, CRM, helpdesk and checkout.
Work out your own priceExample team: eight people who run campaigns, trading and the site every day, twelve across service, buying and finance. Credits for AI, SMS and lookups come from a shared pool each Builder adds to.
Switching is our job, not yours.
We move you over one tool a month, against success criteria we agree with you up front. You don't pay until we prove each one is ready.
We map your stack
Show us Emarsys and the tools wired into it. We agree what moves where, and what ready means for each channel, before you commit.
We move your data across
Moving your data is part of the switch: contacts, consent, segments and your core flows. If you sell on Shopify, the catalogue syncs straight in.
You sign it off
Billing starts only when we have shown it works against the criteria you set. Then we move the next tool, one a month.
But we're an Emarsys team.
Here are the questions retail marketers ask us most.
Can Landing handle a large retail audience?
Yes. The Scale plan is built for big audiences, big stores and big teams, with a dedicated sending IP, several brands and legal entities, and contacts that get cheaper per head as the list grows.
Is Landing's site search really faster?
It was the fastest of four we measured against Klevu, Nosto and Boost: 174ms cold, and fastest under load. Cutter & Squidge moved their site search from Nosto to Landing.
We rely on SAP for our CRM and service. Does that matter?
It means your marketing reads their data through connectors. On Landing the CRM, helpdesk and orders are the same record your segments filter on, so there is nothing to sync.
How long does a move take?
We move one tool a month against criteria you agree up front, and your first invoice waits until the switch is proven.
