Landing Platform vs Looker: ask your business data in English

Ask the question in English. Get the chart before the meeting starts.

Looker is a serious BI platform for data teams, built on LookML models your developers write. Landing's Studio starts where your data already lives: deals, invoices, timesheets, email, orders and tickets are ready to ask. Type the question, check the chart, share a link that updates itself.

Landing suits you if

  • You want answers from your business data without a data team
  • You want shared dashboards that republish themselves every day
  • You'd rather the numbers came from the system that runs the work

Where the questions queue up.

BI is only as quick as the pipeline and the model behind it.

A model before a chart

In Looker, dashboards sit on LookML models written by Developer users. A new question often means a change request.

A warehouse to feed

Looker queries the databases you connect. Your CRM, timesheets and invoices need piping into one first, and keeping in sync.

A price you ask for

Looker is sold as a platform edition plus user licences by type, through Google Cloud sales rather than a public price list.

Landing Platform vs Looker, line by line.

Landing's Studio answers everyday business questions from data it already holds. Then it runs the teams that data comes from.

What it costs, side by side.

Switching is our job, not yours.

We move you over one tool a month, against success criteria we agree with you up front. You don't pay until we prove each one is ready.

Step 1

We map your stack

Show us your Looker setup and the tools around it. We agree what moves where, and what "ready" means for each tool, before you commit to anything.

Step 2

We rebuild the dashboards you use

We list the Looker dashboards people actually open, rebuild them in Studio from the same business data, and set each shared link to refresh daily or hourly. We check the numbers agree before you switch off.

Step 3

You sign it off

Billing starts only when we have shown it works against the criteria you set. Then we move the next tool, one a month.

Free monthsEvery £1,000 a month you switch off earns a free month, up to three.
Billing starts when it's readyWe prove the switch works before your first invoice.
OnboardingOne month's fee, from £500, paid when your first switch is signed off.

But our reporting runs on Looker.

Fair. Here are the questions finance and ops leads ask us most.

Does the AI make the numbers up?

No. The model turns your question into a query and a chart type. The numbers come from the query engine, today's date is always given, and a question about a field that doesn't exist is refused rather than answered more broadly. Every tile shows exactly what it assumed.

Can we share dashboards with clients?

Yes. Share a dashboard as a link and it republishes itself on a schedule, daily by default or hourly. The public page serves the published snapshot, so a visitor never touches your live data.

What about data from outside Landing?

Web analytics, Google Ads, Facebook and Microsoft connect as sources, and Google Sheets and uploaded files can be blended with the rest.

Who can ask about what?

Access profiles decide which sources each person can query, and a shared link only carries sources its publisher is allowed to see.

Which clients make money?

The free margin calculator shows profit and margin across your whole client list.

“We were running PR, social scheduling and the rest of our marketing across half a dozen tools that never talked. Now we plan, schedule and measure from a single screen.”
