Landing Platform vs Doofinder: search wired to your customers

Search that knows who is searching, and what they did next.

Doofinder adds search, recommendations and a quiz to your store, billed by requests. Landing gives you site search and six kinds of recommendation on the same record as your email flows, CRM, orders and support, so a search is the start of a customer story, not a line in a log.

Landing suits you if

  • You want search terms and orders feeding the same customer record
  • You want to fix a failed search from the report, in one click
  • You would rather pay for your team than for every request your store makes

Where a search plugin stops.

Doofinder does the search box well. Everything after the search happens somewhere else.

Billed by request

Every search, index run, API call and crawler visit counts toward your monthly requests, so the bill follows traffic, not value.

Search on an island

A shopper searches, buys, then emails support. In a plugin, that search never meets the order or the ticket.

Four more logins

Search is one tool. Email, CRM, checkout and analytics are still four more logins and four more bills.

Landing Platform vs Doofinder, line by line.

On the search box itself you get what you expect from a specialist. The difference is what the search is connected to.

What it costs, side by side.

Doofinder charges by the number of requests your store makes each month. Landing charges for the people who run the business, and shoppers never count.

Switching is our job, not yours.

We move you over one tool a month, against success criteria we agree with you up front. You don't pay until we prove each one is ready.

Step 1

We map your stack

Show us your Doofinder setup and the tools around it. We agree what moves where, and what "ready" means for each tool, before you commit to anything.

Step 2

We move Doofinder across

We index your catalogue, match your current results on your top searches, and bring your synonyms, redirects and rules across as part of the switch. Search goes live styled to your theme, with no rebuild.

Step 3

You sign it off

Billing starts only when we have shown it works against the criteria you set. Then we move the next tool, one a month.

Free monthsEvery £1,000 a month you switch off earns a free month, up to three.

But we already use Doofinder.

Fair. Here are the questions store teams ask us most when they are weighing it up.

Is Landing's search as fast as a dedicated search tool?

We measured Landing against Klevu, Nosto and Boost, and Landing was the fastest of the four: 174ms on a cold search, and fastest under load too. Doofinder wasn't in that test, so bring your own catalogue to the demo and see it for yourself.

Do we have to move our store to use Landing's search?

No. Search and recommendations run on the store you already have: on Shopify, on a Landing site, or on another site through our tag and a product feed, styled to match your theme.

Doofinder includes recommendations too. What's different?

Where they live. Landing's six strategies fill named slots with clicks and revenue reported per slot, and they sit on the same record as your email flows, so the post-purchase series can skip what she just bought.

Why is site search on the Scale plan?

Search and recommendations are built for stores with real traffic and big catalogues, alongside point of sale and multiple brands. Checkout and email flows are in every plan from Core.

“We were running PR, social scheduling and the rest of our marketing across half a dozen tools that never talked. Now we plan, schedule and measure from a single screen.”
