Landing Platform vs Workday: HR without the enterprise build

HR for a growing team, without an enterprise implementation.

Workday HCM is built for large organisations, and its midsize package, Workday GO, is designed for 500 to 3,500 employees. Landing gives a growing team records, leave, rota, timesheets and reviews, joined to projects, clients and invoices, and we set it up with you.

Landing suits you if

  • You are well under 500 people and growing
  • You want to go live in weeks, set up with you
  • You want HR joined to the work and the money

Where enterprise HR gets heavy.

Workday is powerful. It is built for a much bigger company than yours.

Sized for the enterprise

Its midsize package is designed and priced for 500 to 3,500 employees. Below that, you are buying for a company you are not yet.

An implementation project

Workday advises budgeting for setup, training and data migration on top of the subscription.

The client work sits outside

Projects, CRM, marketing and client billing are still other systems your people log into.

Landing Platform vs Workday, line by line.

Landing covers the people work a growing team needs, and joins it to everything else.

What it costs, side by side.

Workday is sold by subscription through its sales team, with implementation on top. Landing publishes its price: Builders for the few who run it, Members for everyone else.

Work out your own price

Example company: four people who run HR, finance and operations every day, one hundred and sixteen who book leave, log time and approve. No marketing contacts. Single sign-on and a full audit log come on Scale. Credits for AI, SMS and lookups come from a shared pool each Builder adds to.

Switching is our job, not yours.

We move you over one tool a month, against success criteria we agree with you up front. You don't pay until we prove each one is ready.

Step 1

We map how you run people today

Records, policies, approval routes and reports. We agree what "ready" means before you commit.

Step 2

We move your people across

We move your data as part of the switch: records, history, balances and documents, checked before anyone books leave.

Step 3

You sign it off

Billing starts only once it meets the criteria you set. Then we move the next tool, one a month.

Free monthsEvery £1,000 a month you switch off earns a free month, up to three.
Billing starts when it's readyWe prove the switch works before your first invoice.
OnboardingOne month's fee, from £500, paid when your first switch is signed off.
Price lockedYour yearly price is locked for two years.

But Workday is the safe choice.

Fair. Here are the questions growing teams ask us when they weigh it up.

Will Landing pass our security review?

Named access profiles, enforceable two-factor sign-in, audit trails on every signature, UK GDPR controls and a published list of sub-processors. Single sign-on and a full audit log come on Scale.

How long does it take to go live?

We move one tool a month against criteria you agree up front, and billing starts only when each switch is proven ready. No year-long project.

Can Landing handle several companies in a group?

Yes. Several brands run from one account, each with its own logo, domains and emails, and separate legal entities are on Scale.

Who counts as a Member?

Anyone who books leave, logs time, approves and sees dashboards without working in Landing all day, from £4 a month.

Checking holiday allowances?

Use the free holiday entitlement calculator for full-time and part-time staff.

“We were running PR, social scheduling and the rest of our marketing across half a dozen tools that never talked. Now we plan, schedule and measure from a single screen.”
