Landing Platform vs Help Scout: shared inbox and the rest

A friendly inbox is a good start. Now give it the rest of the business.

Help Scout is a clean shared inbox with a help centre, priced per user, with AI Answers billed per resolution and extra inboxes and Docs sites as add-ons. Landing gives you the inbox, chat and help centres, and puts them on the same record as your CRM, projects, email and invoices.

Landing suits you if

  • You like a simple inbox but need it to know the customer
  • You run more than one help centre, for customers, clients and the team
  • You want support, sales and delivery on one record

Where the simple inbox stops.

Help Scout keeps support calm. Then the question needs someone outside support.

Each extra is a line item

Another inbox or another Docs site is an add-on per month, so structure costs money.

AI by the resolution

AI Answers is billed per resolution, on top of the per-user plan.

Support on an island

The customer's deal, project and invoices live in other tools, so a good answer needs three tabs and a colleague.

Landing Platform vs Help Scout, line by line.

On the inbox and help centre Landing is level with Help Scout. Beside it sit the CRM, projects, email and billing.

What it costs, side by side.

Help Scout charges per user, then per resolution for AI and per month for extra inboxes and Docs sites. On Landing you pay for the people who answer, and customers are free.

Work out your own price

Example team: five people who answer customers every day, three who pick up escalations and approve. Landing prices are in pounds; Help Scout lists its prices in dollars, so we show both as published rather than converting. Credits for AI, SMS and lookups come from a shared pool each Builder adds to.

Switching is our job, not yours.

We move you over one tool a month, against success criteria we agree with you up front. You don't pay until we prove each one is ready.

Step 1

We map your mailboxes

Show us your Help Scout inboxes, workflows, saved replies and Docs. We agree what "ready" means before anything moves.

Step 2

We move Help Scout across

Conversations and customers come across with their history, saved replies become macros and your Docs articles go into help centres on your domain. We move your data as part of the switch.

Step 3

You sign it off

Your team answers real conversations in Landing first. Billing starts only when it meets your criteria. Then we move the next tool.

Free monthsEvery £1,000 a month you switch off earns a free month, up to three.
Billing starts when it's readyWe prove the switch works before your first invoice.
OnboardingOne month's fee, from £500, paid when your first switch is signed off.
Price lockedYour yearly price is locked for two years.

But we already use Help Scout.

Fair. Here are the questions teams ask us most when they're weighing it up.

Will Landing feel as simple as Help Scout?

Your support team works from one screen: the queue, the conversation and the customer's history beside it. The rest of the platform is there when they need it and out of the way when they don't.

Do extra inboxes or help centres cost more?

No. Run public, client-only and internal help centres and as many queues as you need within your plan.

How is AI charged?

There is no per-resolution fee. AI answers draw on the shared credit pool your Builder seats fill, and suggested replies are drafts someone approves before they send.

Our account managers answer some emails. Do they need a full seat?

People who pick up escalations and approve can be Members, from £4 a month. Customers are free.

“We were running PR, social scheduling and the rest of our marketing across half a dozen tools that never talked. Now we plan, schedule and measure from a single screen.”
