Everything you need to track a week of work

Built by people who run teams — not a bare spreadsheet. Open it and start typing.

Week at a glance

A live dashboard totals your hours per day, plus billable, non-billable and total billable value — the moment you type.

Hours done for you

Type a start and end time and any unpaid break — the Hours column works itself out. No formulas to write, no mental maths.

Billable time & profit

Mark each entry billable or not, add an hourly rate, and see chargeable value add up. Know exactly what a week is worth.

Any week, reuse forever

One Week starting cell drives the whole sheet. Change it and the day labels and totals update — use the same file every week.

Up and running in two minutes

No setup, no login, no learning curve.

Download & open

Grab the .xlsx and open it in Excel (or Google Sheets / Numbers). It just works.

Log your week

Add a row per task: date, client, start and end time. Hours and value fill themselves in.

See hours & value

Watch the dashboard total your day, your billable hours and what the week is worth. That's the whole system.

Free timesheet template (Excel) — questions

Is this timesheet template really free?

Yes — completely free. Fill in the short form above and the Excel file downloads straight away. No payment, no trial.

Does it work in Google Sheets and Apple Numbers?

Yes. It's a standard .xlsx file, so it opens in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers. The formulas, colours and totals carry across.

Can it track billable hours and value?

Yes — that's the point. Mark each entry billable or not, add an hourly rate on the Settings tab, and the template totals your billable hours, non-billable hours and total chargeable value automatically.

Is it locked to one week?

No — it's evergreen. There's a Week starting cell at the top; set it to any Monday and the seven-day summary and every total update for that week. Use the same file every week.

Is a spreadsheet enough to track time?

For a small team, absolutely — that's what this is for. When approvals, projects, invoicing and payroll start to sprawl, that's where Landing takes over (below).

When the spreadsheet stops scaling

Meet Landing — timesheets, projects & your whole team in one place

A spreadsheet is a great start. Landing is where growing teams go next: one-click time tracking, project budgets, billable-hour reports, approvals, invoicing and 40+ tools — all connected, instead of duct-taped together.
